Overview

Domus have a fantastic opportunity for a current Supported Living Manager or highly experienced Deputy Manager, to manage a brand-new Supported Living services in Slough, Berkshire, for up to 5 adults with Mental Health needs. This person-centered service will provide care, support and accommodation for individuals aged 18 that have a history of substance misuse and alcohol abuse. You will take the lead in recovery support to help the individuals get back into the community and potentially source working opportunities. You will have experience managing a service supporting adults with Mental Health needs and/or Learning Disabilities, or be a Deputy Manager ready to move up. You will either have, or be working towards, your Diploma Level 5 in Health and Social Care, as this role would require registration with CQC. You will be involved budget setting for the service and line managing a multi-disciplinary team consisting of Deputy Service Manager's and Support Workers. Other duties include: Maintain adequate records on people we support, medication, accidents, incidents, fire drills, servicing of equipment, environmental health, safety and staff matters as required by the relevant legislation. Ensure monthly staffing rotas are completed to meet the needs of people we support Establish and maintain good liaison with people we support, their families and professionals from other organisations, ensuring effective communication, regular updates and monthly service newsletters. Participate in the recruitment of staff to the team in accordance with the organisation's Recruitment and Selection Policy and Procedure Ensure the highest quality and standards are met in the preparation of risk assessments, support plans and person-centered plans, ensuring that outcomes are monitored, met and evidenced Quality control and coach team members so that service provision delivers the outcomes and focuses on the aspirations that people supported have identified Oversee the day to day operation at the service and support the CQC Registered Manager carry out the duties in relation to relevant legislation and regulations Enable the staff team to provide proactive, positive and enabling support to the young adults Enable the staff team to provide the young adults with support with their emotional and practical needs Inspire and lead the team effectively and have a 'can do' attitude Skills required: Previous Service/Deputy Management experience within a Mental Health and/or Learning Disability service Strong leadership skills and the ability to deal with staffing on all levels Holds or willing to work towards NVQ 5 Driving License and car If you are interested in the above Registered Supported Living Manager vacancy, please call Michael on quoting reference MW-RSLMS-9421 or email your CV to Don't keep a good thing to yourself - Recommend a friend If you are not looking, then perhaps you know someone who is and we will reward you with our recommend a friend scheme - £200 pounds worth of high street shopping vouchers if we place them into work and we do not already have them on our database.
