Overview
We are currently looking for a Systems Engineer for our client in Fawley. The role is initially for 12 months and you will be working Monday - Friday office hours. The salary for the position is £51,900 - £71,900 per annum. Upgrading existing systems (Windows 7 and Server 2008) to Windows 10 and Server 2016 on live process network. Work will include carrying workstations and servers to various control rooms around the site. You will be responsible for the planning and engineering of an organisation's systems infrastructure, including implementation and design of hardware and software. You will also oversee development and maintenance of computer systems. Identify departmental needs and makes suggestions regarding technical direction. You will monitor the performance of systems, analyse users needs and create flowcharts, diagrams, and other documentation. You will need to work with moderate work direction. This position would suit a senior Systems Engineer who is able to perform tasks of high complexity and difficulty. Such individual could also manage, train and mentor other team members and lead projects. Skills & Qualifications Ability to diagnose and resolve complex system communication issues. Extensive working knowledge of PCs, network hardware, operating systems, software and network communication protocols.
