Overview

Working with a leading main contractor delivering a major Highways England project. They have an immediate vacancy for a Site Engineer. Must have exposure on: Formwork, reinforced concrete (FRC), bored piling, earthworks, drainage and VRS. The ideal candidate will be Degree or HNC/HND Qualified in Civil Engineering Experience within a Civil engineering environment 2 years’ experience working for a main or regional contractor. Highways experience is essential Responsibilities: Accurate setting out of the works and dimensional control Carry out relevant inspections in accordance with the Inspection and Test Plan. The production of survey information to enable the completion of As-built records. Ensuring activities are carried out in a safe manner in accordance with the project Safety Plan. Maintenance of Quality Management System records. Co-ordination and supervision of Sub-contractors in the performance of their assigned Scope of work. Ensure all site personnel have the relevant information to carry out their duties. Ensure there is minimal environmental disturbance during construction works and that the project environmental requirements are met. Ensure only the latest issues of drawings are being used. Candidate Spec: HNC / Degree in Civil engineering Experience working on civil/ highway projects CSCS card Site Management Safety Training Scheme SMSTS Other training such as work at height, IPAF, TWS, TWC, lifting appointed persons to be listed on CV.
