Overview

With nearly 200 employees on board in the UK and growth targets to double that and more over the next few years, we are looking for an ambitious person to join our Human Factors team to assist in new and existing growth areas along with providing a high level of service to our clients. As a Human Factors Engineer you will be at the forefront of newest team, targeted on creating new customers and developing existing ones. AKKA UK already has a strong and established client base across Aerospace, Automotive and Rail along with growing areas in other industries as well. Along with providing expertise to customer projects you will create and implement a strategy to identify and secure new business opportunities with new clients. Key Tasks and Accountabilities Supporting system development through design reviews Providing continuous support to design teams regarding potential for human error and musculoskeletal disorders Defining and performing user tests, as well as developing test reports up to the highest standards of technical writing. Defining and updating HF Integration Plan in accordance with relevant industry standards Defining Human Error and Workload methodology Developing HF Assurance reports Skills & Knowledge Required Degree qualified within a relevant discipline (human factors / ergonomics / psychology / UCD) Minimum 5 years of experience within transportation industry (rail preferable) C hartered within a recognised body or working towards (e.g. CIEHF or BPS) Experience in working within multidisciplinary teams providing human factors guidance to design teams Experience developing and validating new human factors requirements Experience in defining and executing user tests for requirements validation Experience in technical report writing Experience in HF Integration Plan development Good understanding of anthropometrics assessment process (experience using CATIA Mannequin Module is a plus) Experience in Workload Analysis, Human Error Analysis (HEA) and Hierarchical Task Analysis (HTA) Adept in use of MS Office and DOORS General knowledge of rail industry operations This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89689725
