Overview
I am currently recruiting for one of the UK's most high-profile Membership Body organisations, as they begin seeking a Senior Policy Advisor to join their busy Policy directorate. Most closely linked to Financial Services policy, but with involvement across the entire Policy offering; members of the organisation have indicated a need for additional support within this particular area, ensuring that the successful candidate will have a high level of engagement and input to the formulation of often new and exciting policy positions. The successful postholder will: Provide coordination and administrative support to Policy and External Affairs team members Support the team to organise internal and external meetings and take minutes when appropriate Coordinate the Policy and External Affairs team's communication activity Provide co-ordination, briefing and organisational support to the organisation's external stakeholder engagement programme Lead on the consultation response process for particular projects Assist in the preparation of reports, papers and presentations, including assistance with policy research where appropriate Other duties that support the Policy and External Affairs team, as well as the wider organisation to meet its aims and objectives Necessary Skills: Exposure and understanding of the policy making process in a previous role Education to degree level Experience of writing policy briefings and reports Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
