HSE Manager Wigan, Greater Manchester Full Time - Perm £40,000 - £50,000 pa Recruit Right are currently recruiting on behalf of one of our clients in Wigan for a HSE Manager to join an established manufacturing firm who provide sustainable recycled paper, corrugate cardboard and flexible packing solutions. The candidate would be responsible for ensuring that all legislations is adhered to and HSE polices and practise are effective. The successful applicant will plan, implement, monitor and review the protective and preventative measure required, and work with plant management to minimise operational losses, workplace incidents, accidents and injuries. Main Duties Apply Group Policies related to Health and Safety, Environment and Equal Opportunities Contributes to compliance with the company's HSE targets / KPI's and acts as the link on these issues with the Group Coordinates site Safety Framework activities and associate assessments and improvement programs Leads site legal compliance implementation programme Leads site Behavioural Safety Observation programme Leads site Risk Assessments Programme Maintains ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 / Ethical systems responsibilities and facilitates external certification audits Facilitator of Monthly HSE Governance steering meetings Leads site internal SHE Audit programme Facilitates timely updates as required within the organisation HSE reporting systems Leads site incident management programme (hazard reporting / near miss invention / incident investigations) Attends meeting were necessary to ensure necessary communication with Operations team Leads site Contactor Management Programme Facilitates the various administrative task resulting from the company's HSE obligations Leads site HSE Improvements activity and provides regular updates to the group Controls site waste management programme and associated legal responsibilities Provides regular updates and advises site Operations team or any aspects related to the safety, environmental or ethical management requirements. Attends UK and IE quarterly HSE Governance as site representative. Leads site induction programme Assists where required in site Training activates Facilitates site SHE Briefings Collaborates with Departmental Management involved in the analysis and resolution or ant incidents / accident and associated claims Assists with any project management / managements of change activity on site Facilitate site machinery conformity improvement programme Personal Profile University degree in (a) science (desirable but not essential) At least 3-5 years' experience in a similar role (experience in a FMCG environment, ideally within the packaging industry) NEBOSH general certificate Environmental qualification desirable (not essential) English - Fluent French - Basics Salary £40,000 - £50,000 25 days holidays a year bank holidays. 4.5% matched contribution pension Important Information: We endeavour to process your personal data in a fair and transparent manner.
