Overview

Based in our Halifax or Reading office, from day one you will be working with a company that places its people at the heart of its organisation. You will be responsible for Producing quarterly and annual reports within set timeframes, for the business, management committees and the regulator. Monitoring the actual experience against that predicted by our models. Explaining the results of analysis in a non-technical way, to a range of audiences. Ensuring your actuarial and/or statistical work is carried out to high standards of professionalism We are looking for someone who has/is… Experience in using one or more Actuarial Reserving techniques Experience in reserving for a range of general insurance classes Knowledge of Solvency II requirements Ability to use Microsoft Word to draft analytical reports Experience in using ResQ, Access, Igloo, Business Objects, or programmes of a similar nature Demonstrable VBA programming experience 2:1 or above in a mathematical, or mathematical related, degree. Working towards a professional qualification, ideally having completed all Core Principles subjects (or CT equivalents) Benefits: 36.25 working hours per week 25 days holiday bank holidays Competitive pension scheme Additional benefits Salary: £43,000
