Overview
Exciting opportunity to work with a prolific London Local Authority in helping them to deliver a regeneration programme set to build close to 1,500 affordable homes, and help shape the future of the borough's town centres. My client has currently completed more than half of this programme and is in the market for an interim Head of Regeneration Programme to help deliver the construction & handover phase. You will be expected to contribute towards service improvement and innovation as well as the successful delivery of this programme. We are looking for an experienced professional for up to 12 months and the authority are offering a very competitive day rate for the right candidate. Main responsibilities of this role include: Overseeing the feasibility and viability of the entire regeneration programme from construction to completion. The management of a team of 12 as well as internal and external stakeholders Undertaking effective risk management and using your knowledge of public sector programme delivery to manage different work streams in line with budget and time frames The successful candidate will have the following: Experience working in the public sector (Local Authority or Housing Association) in a similar role. Experience in contributing to the strategic delivery high volume affordable housing and regeneration schemes A complete understanding of all things construction from tendering a design and build team to the management of budgets and contractors.
