Job Description

We are looking to recruit an experienced clinical or counselling psychologist to provide leadership and professional advice and support for the psychological services delivered in Tower Hamlets Locality teams (CMHTS and Inpatient services). This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is an experienced supervisor and is now ready to further develop their management and leadership skills. You will provide professional and clinical supervision to the senior psychologists in the teams and work closely with their operational managers to ensure the delivery of a high quality psychological service to patients and their families. You will also be the lead for the Discovery Project, a group based programme for people with enduring psychosis. Your clinical session will here and in the directorate therapies group programme, working in collaboration with art therapies and OT. We aim to develop and delivery our services through co-production with people with lived experience. The department has an excellent relationship with People Participation and the Local Recovery College. We would expect you to be fully committed to partnership workingYour will report directly to the Directorate Lead for Psychology and Psychological Therapies and will be expected to work together with the Deputy Lead in the provision, planning and development of psychological services for people with complex, severe and enduring mental health needs, and deputise when appropriate. Your service area is part of the wider psychology and psychological therapy provision in Tower Hamlets, you would be joining a community of psychologists and psychological therapists working across EI, perinatal, art therapies, personalities disorder services, drug and alcohol services, homelessness, learning difficulties, older adults, PTS, psychiatric liaison, community health, community access service and primary care. We support and encourage CPD opportunities across these specialities as part of the trust annual appraisal and personal development planning.
