Overview
A market-leader in the vending and coffee machine industry is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join their team in their Wiltshire head office. The Technical Support Engineer is responsible for providing clear and efficient technical support, dealing both directly with customers and the Company’s Sales Team. As the Technical Support Engineer, you will be answering all customers enquiries relating to the Company’s products, certifications, approvals and completing questionnaires, along with handling all customer returns requests. You will support the Product and Quality Manager with Quality Investigations, new projects and product sourcing. The ideal candidate will therefore be a natural problem solver, with some experience in quality fault investigations, along with some technical/engineering background for new project work. The Technical Support Engineer will have a desire to learn, good attention to detail and willingness to work in an office environment but will also get hands-on with the products in the Company’s test workshop when required. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Reporting to the Product and Quality Manager: To answer all customer product enquiries, being the main link between our suppliers and customers; To process all customer product returns requests, product testing and inspection when required; To provide support with supplier validation; Associated Administrative duties; Quality and Engineering support. THE EMPLOYER The Company is a market-leader specialising in the supply of component parts, spares and cleaning products for a range of liquid handling applications to OEM manufacturers and operators in the water, vending, coffee machines, soft drinks, food & beverage and other niche markets (e.g. craft breweries). Around 30% of the Company’s revenues are from Export sales (North America and Europe in the main). THE CANDIDATE Strong administration skills; Experience in providing technical support; Knowledge of ISO9001 Quality Management Systems; MS Office skills - Outlook Excel and Word, plus experience with Microsoft Navision; Customer focussed with strong communication skills; Auto CAD skills would be an advantage, but not essential; GCSE or equivalent qualifications (preferred). PACKAGE £20,000 to £25,000 salary (depending on experience).
