Overview

As a Quality Engineer you will be joining one of the country’s leading Providers of EDM and CNC services to the Aerospace & Defence, Automotive & Motorsport, Space and Oil and Gas industries. NADCAP and AS9100 Rec D accreditation; capabilities include EDM and CNC Machining. The role Within this role you will be reporting to the Quality Manager, the role is to provide Quality Engineering support to all sites and assigned projects. The position will require occasional travel to sister sites. As the Quality Engineer you will be supporting the manufacturing teams to plan and implement the required tools and techniques to ensure that the final delivered product and service meets the customer expectations by undertaking the following responsibilities: · Support accreditation processes and implementations · Write quality plans to meet customer requirements in line with policies and accreditations · Plan quality activities across each project and ensure that they are implemented effectively · Develop and implement a supplier control plan to assure the quality of delivered items on assigned project · Configure audits on internal and supplied aspects · Identify and apply appropriate quality tools to prevent quality failures. (Ie FMECA, SPC, FAI, FAT etc ) · Implement process improvements to improve efficiency of quality activities · Generate production process and inspection sheets · Responsible of final product release and collation of the delivery documentation · Facilitate investigations and implement corrective actions on Customer Issues and internal process defects Essential Skills and Experience · Experience in the implementation of quality plans and accreditation in an engineering environment · Experience of applying QA processes to supplier quality assurance and have knowledge and experience of a range of manufacturing processes · Looking for applications from Quality professionals with a passion for continuous improvement. · A technical apprenticeship would be advantageous For further details about the Quality Engineer role, please contact Summer Finney to hear more about this role.
