Overview

Experienced Production Planner required for global manufacturing business based in Kent My client is a highly successful food manufacturing business which due to increased workload are looking to increase the headcount in their Planning function. So if you are an experienced Production Planner in the FMCG sector looking to work for an excellent manufacturing business based in Kent get in touch. My client is looking to interview next week with a view to the person starting ASAP. Shift pattern - Sunday - Thursday 5am - 1.30pm (flexibility required) Reporting into the Senior Production Planner, you will be responsible for the planning and efficient running of the production process on the early shift, which will require someone who is confidant at making decisions. They are looking for a flexible approach to working hours including weekend work and evening work Proficiency at using Microsoft Excel (vlookup) and knowledge of VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) is desirable. Day to day you will be responsible for managing finished goods inventory levels in line with the preferred factory running orders, product life projects and to balance the utilisation of resources. You will need to monitor the daily schedule, work closely with production, and ensure labour is calculated in line with planned production. Communicating and escalating any service issues internally and externally is of upmost importance. On the administrative side you will be responsible for maintaining and monitoring KPI reports and completing all planning paperwork.
