Overview
An independent research consultancy, specifically in the energy sector are now building their IT department in London. The first role is a Senior front end developer (remote working available indefinitely) with JavaScript and React expertise (Node.JS is also a massive benefit), to take ownership of an urgent greenfield project. The salary offered is 70k - 75k plus an annual bonus of 7k and great benefits including a 6% pension. There is also a chance to work remotely (regardless of the current situation) with the expectation of being in the office once a week (eventually). The company is committed to providing indispensable analysis of energy markets to its clients to help guide their investment, trading and research decisions. Therefore this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced front-end developer to help build out a brand-new web experience platform. As a Senior developer you would take ownership of the delivery of new features by writing efficient, reusable and maintainable code. Additionally, you will be a proactive self-starter who can demonstrate willingness to consistently learn and develop. Key experience required, JavaScript ES6 or higher At least one Front-End framework (React is most preferred) Developing responsive browser-based applications Writing automated tests with a tool like Cypress or Jest Applying the above to solve real-world business problems As an SME, there is a fantastic culture on offer with this business, therefore working as a close knit unit, dealing with global stakeholders and communicating effectively are a big part of the role.
