Overview

In response to the unprecedented events we are currently experiencing due to the spread of Coronavirus COVID-19, at this time we will be conducting our interviews via video calls. At Discovery the people we support are at the heart of everything we do, we offer person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities and autism across Somerset. We're looking for dedicated individuals who are seeking a flexible and highly rewarding role to join our network of relief support workers. This is an opportunity to work on a casual basis, giving you the opportunity to work as much or as little as you would like, with a variety of people in Frome. The Role This is a varied opportunity, and you will be providing support to Adults with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism in their communities and at home. You may find yourself supporting someone to go to shopping, meet with friends, swimming or any number of other activities. This role provides a unique opportunity to enable the individuals we support to have as independent and fulfilling lives as possible. You will need to be comfortable with all aspects of personal care and moving and assisting. We firmly believe that our people are our biggest asset, and if you share our values, no previous experience is required as we will invest in you and provide full training. Why join us? £9.00 per hour, £9.90 per hour for waking nights, £30.50 per sleep in. Your annual leave will be accrued as you work and will be paid in addition to your hourly rate, shifts at some of our services attract a travel allowance supplement of £0.61/hour.
