Synthetic Chemist - North West - Drug Discovery
Overview
A Drug Discovery Company in the North West are looking for a synthetic chemist who has experience from either a university or industrial setting. The ideal candidate will be PhD qualified with proven experience and a passion to pursue a career within drug discovery. The role of Synthetic Chemist will involve - Working on custom synthesis projects for the design, optimisation and scale up of small molecules to be used in the drug discovery and pharmaceutical industries. Performing synthesis on a variety of scales, milligrams to kilograms. Liaising with clients to report on project outcomes, problems and future work. Liaising with other departments and scientists to obtain the most efficient process. The role of Synthetic Chemist will require - PhD in Chemistry or related subject. A strong background in synthetic organic chemistry, preferably from a drug discovery, pharmaceutical or biotechnology background.
