Overview

Our client are a leading Consultancy in Environmental Services who cover multiple disciplines including Engineering, Oil & Gas and Water & Waste Water and many more. They are currently seeking a Senior Water Network Engineer to be based in Leeds on a permanent basis. This role provides a chance to join a growing team and help support projects within the areas of Clean Water infrastructure and Leakage management. Main responsibilities and tasks: Provide support and ensure the technical delivery of project outcomes in line with clients strategic direction Provide technical expertise in water network distribution (in particular water loss reduction through effective strategy implementation and operational management) Work as part of a team on a variety of projects focusing on Water Loss Reduction including effective benefits Support the Technical Leadership on projects, develop and manage people, tasks, budgets, scope and risk Prepare reports, calculations and drawings required to support the successful delivery of projects Communicate and develop ongoing contracts with clients Complete all work in line with companies core values and in accordance of their quality systems and project quality procedures Build relationships with new clients and stakeholders Facilitate the exchange of ideas/concepts throughout company, through networking and use of intranet Qualifications/Relevant Experience: Working knowledge of pipeline and asset management techniques Understanding of UK best practice, specifically in Water Loss management and the regulatory frameworks Degree qualified (or Equivalent) in Civil Engineering or another relevant subject Chartered or incorporated member of relevant professional body / or working towards Experience within the Water Industry and the successful development/delivery of water loss reduction strategies Water Loss Practitioner able to apply advanced techniques and knowledge Ability to integrate into a team & work well independently Good analytical skills and judgement, ability to make operational and strategic decisions relating to Leakage Sound knowledge of current legislation Experience in a Team Leader/Manager role and in development of staff Strong communication and organisational skills of all levels Ability to prioritise workload for self and team To apply for this position, candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK without visa restrictions.
