Overview
This well-respected, National , not Global, insurance broker has a very strong presence in the Leeds area and now has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Claims Handler to join its outstanding claims team. This truly independent organisation continues to expand as a result of its well-deserved reputation for its traditional approach and fair dealing. Many people that have joined the firm find its approach to business extremely refreshing, and very much enjoy the amount of autonomy they are given. It is essential that you have a genuine passion for claims handling, and pride yourself on achieving the best possible settlement on behalf of your clients within the policy terms. As such, you must possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, and be able to manage claims in a fair and expedient manner. As well as keeping the clients abreast of their claims progress, you will be expected to attend regular claims reviews, provide your expert opinion on the best course of action to resolve claims, and give advice on preventative measures in order to keep your clients’ costs to a minimum. This is anything but the typical 'postbox’ broker claims handling role. It is essential that you have demonstrable experience of working in a commercial claims environment. Applications from those individuals with a broking, insurance company, or adjusting background are welcomed. In this exciting role you’ll be exposed to a wide variety of commercial classes including Property, Liability, D&O, Fleet Motor and Marine and therefore proven experience and technical knowledge of some or all of these classes would be most advantageous.
