Overview
The client is a well-established organisation based in Portsmouth. Job Description The successful Payroll Controller will be responsible for: • Processing development and improvement • Working closely with the internal HR team, particularly working on starters and leavers • Running weekly and monthly payroll, management of all aspects • Management of the payroll team • Overseeing the Payroll Administrators ensuring tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner • Submitting information to the outsourced payroll team • Using analytical skills to develop strategies • Management of all payroll queries • Auditing and control of holiday and absence management The Successful Applicant The successful Payroll Controller will: • Have strong knowledge and experience of Payroll including all operational duties • Have strong knowledge of implementing and enhancing systems • Have excellent organisation skills • Work with a strong attention to detail at all times • Excellent communication skills • Have a strong knowledge of monthly payroll accounting closing cycles • Have detailed knowledge of taxation, national insurance and PAYE • Be able to build effective relationships across the business • Have the ability to work under pressure and work towards tight deadlines • Have the ability to build effective relationships across the business What's on Offer This is a long term interim assignment paying a salary up to £35,000 per/annum.
