Cleaner Job in Huntingdon paying £9.20 Per Hour. Long term temporary role. Your new company As a leading supplier to HM Prison Service, Hays are seeking a cleaner to work at HMP Littlehey in Huntingdon. This nationally recognised and well-established company provides staff to over 50 Prisons in the UK. The company is actively recruiting and is looking for staff to work on a long term temporary basis. There is a chance to become permanent depending on performance. HMP Littlehey is based around 7 miles outside Huntingdon Town centre. The prison is very well connected and has links to the A14, A428 and the A1M. The company has decided to expand the cleaning team and as a result an opening for a full time cleaner has become available. Your new role You will be working on a full time basis of around 39 hours a week. This role is a long term temporary role. There will be the possibility to go permanent, although this is not guaranteed. The cleaning role will vary from day to day. You could be cleaning the outbuildings on the grounds of the Prison or cleaning within the Prison itself. You will come in to contact with Prisoners as part of the role, although you will be working with a very supportive and welcoming team. Within the role there will be allocated cleaning tasks to complete alongside reactive cleaning as well. What you'll need to succeed Previous experience with cleaning is essential. Previous experience in working within a prison environment is desirable but not essential as full training will be given. What you'll get in return In return you will be paid between £9.20 per hours inclusive of Holiday pay. Free on-site Car parking. Employee Pension. The nature of the role requires candidates to be aware of and conscious of security and be able to challenge potential compromises and risks. You will need to be reliable and consistent, level headed and have great interpersonal skills. Full training on working within a Prison is provided by the Prison or the department. Security clearance required: All applicants will be subjected to HM Prison Service Security Clearance procedure. This will include a DBS check. You must hold a valid passport or birth certificate, photo driving licence in your current address, proof of national insurance and a proof of address.
