Overview

We are currently working with a Public Sector client based in the West Midlands who are looking to recruit an Assistant Team Manager to work through the Children’s Services division for a 12 week period. The Successful candidate will work as part of the Dudley Disabilities Service Team helping to support on ongoing project. Key Responsibilities: With the Team Manager, lead a team of professional and unqualified staff To contribute to the work of the Adult Care Division within the framework of Divisional and Directorate priorities To manage the workload primarily of the Team and other teams if required To be responsible for the day to day operational management of the designated teams, including the implementation of priorities, policies and procedures and the operation of the duty system To fulfil the requirements for continuing registration with the Health Professional Council (HPC) To undertake the delegated budgetary task as determined by the Team Manager/Head of Service, in accordance with Standing Orders/Financial Procedures To provide appropriate staff supervision and professional support, which may include carrying a small caseload of complex cases and chairing case reviews and case conferences as appropriate To investigate complaints with the Directorate representation and complaints procedure Key requirements: Demonstrable post qualification experience of staff supervision – of both qualified and unqualified staff Experience of knowledge of legislation pertinent to Social Care/Housing and the adaptation process Registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC) Rate: £37/hr Umbrella, this may be negotiable depending on experience Duration: 3 months rolling contract To start ASAP For more information on this or other Local Gov Jobs, please in the first instance email your CV to Bella Thornton or Hannah Fritz-Lewis on the Midlands Local Gov Team at or call Venn Group is an equal opportunities employment business and employment agency and welcomes applications from all candidates.
