Overview

A well established Top 20 Accountancy Practice, are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper / Management Accountant to join their office based in the West End. The Company Based in London, our client is a well established and highly reputable Top 20 Firm. The business has a wide range of clients across retail, fashion, construction and hospitality. They are large enough to handle complex assignments while also being able to retain their ability to give clients the personal attention they need. The business prides themselves in the breadth and quality of advice given to clients. The Role This is a key role within the Outsourcing Department and will report to and work with the Manager and Partners. This role will allow a split between Bookkeeping and Management Accounting. The varied nature of the role offers excellent all round exposure as well as a clear route for progression for nominated staff to enter onto a development programme through to Assistant Manager level. Responsibilities include but will not be limited to the following: Undertaking bookkeeping for a variety of clients; inputting data and processing payments as required Maintaining the sales, purchase and general ledgers for a variety of clients Posting month end journals Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts for clients in variety of sectors Completing ad-hoc duties such as cash flow forecasting and budgeting Complete VAT returns for allocated clients Supervision and development of junior team members Liaising with clients and HMRC as required The Candidate A successful candidate will need a high level of education. Ideally candidates will be ACCA Qualified as this role will not offer study support. Candidates should be able to demonstrate the following: Previous bookkeeping experience gained within an accountancy practice and the ability to undertake both simple and more complex bookkeeping tasks The ability to prepare management accounts for companies and other entities and handle more complex accounting matters The ability to understand documents and data and write clear letters and emails Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Organised and methodical Client focused Ability to work under own initiative Experience of Sage Xero, QuickBooks and other accounting software What’s on Offer?
