Overview
Recruitment Hunters are recruiting for a Qualified Management Accountant (CIMA / ACCA or ACA) Qualifed to take on the role as a Management Accoutant / Financial Service Controller. You will be working for a prestigious Technical Organisation based in Uxbridge, Middlesex. The Service Business Controller role will be focusing on the Service element of the business, 3 key areas the role will focus on are as follows - Commercial/Technical Accounting, Budget/Forecast/Sales Trends & Audit . Providing management with analysis of current and predicted service financial performance. Understand significant variances vs expectation and put forward actions and recommendations. Develop and proactively monitor KPI's & benchmarks as per the changing needs of the business. Reports to B2B Financial Controller - with 1 the help of a business analyst as a direct report & an outsourced arm for further assistance. This role will site within the Uxbridge HQ and will be working within the Financial Planning & Analysis Teams. Main Responsibilities: - Q Service Business Controller / Management Accountant Job overview The Qualified Management Accountants key responsibilities are: Commercial/Technical Accounting, Budget/Forecast/Sales Trends & Audit . Provide visibility to Management concerning the monthly or periodic performance of the Service Business, including commentary to explain the variances. Develop standard financial performance reports and dashboards to cover all Products, Business Units, Channels and Revenue streams from a service perspective. Provide visibility of the service business trends explain the impact of these on the results and ensure these feed into budget cycle. Preparation and ownership of the budget and forecasting process for Service. Identify critical service business performance issues impacting on profit or revenue and implement corrective actions with the support of management. Ensure SOX and Audit compliance for service billing accrual and other accruals/provisions Provide Service Management with recommendations regarding the development and effectiveness of existing propositions within the Services portfolio and analyse profitability at Customer and Product level. Take an active role in projects to help the service business to achieve its targets. Key Relationships Internal: UK Finance team, UK Service & Support Director and wider management team, Business Operations, Service & Support, Finance External: BPO contacts Decision Making Authority Make the relevant decisions to secure the profitability of the Service business and wider P&L as well as ensure compliance Performance Measures Key Competencies and Personal Objectives as agreed during bi-annual performance review Person Specification - Service Business Controller / Management Accountant Previous Accounting role within the Service industry Qualified Accountant (CIMA or ACCA) 2 Years PQE (Ideally) Strong Financial, Commercial and Business Awareness Knowledge and experience in service management operations and processes would be useful (Massive Advantage) Experience in using and developing management reporting. Experience with different IT/BI systems / Advanced excel skills (Required) Experience of budgeting process - Forecasting, Accruals, Budgeting, Forecasting & Trends Working with Senior Management to monitor performance and deliver tangible improvements The Management Accountant / Service Business Controller role is a Permanent position and will be paying £55,000 - £58,000 DOE 10% Annual Bonus (Company Related & Performance Related) with excellent benefits.
