Please note this role is for a 14 month Maternity Contract About the role: We're looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join our team in our Colchester office to cover a maternity leave. We are on a really exciting mission to make Hiscox the place to work for the ambitious and talented. In this role you'll support the Head of HR, working with the business on everything people related. If you're looking for a broad HR role with the opportunity to work on different elements of the employee lifecycle, this could be perfect for you. By broad, we mean that you will be responsible for all people related matters from employee relations management to, talent development and delivering key HR Strategic initiatives. We're looking for someone with a proven ability working in HR, with experience of designing commercial people solutions for their client group. You will be looking for a broad and wide ranging role with responsibilities including: Supporting the delivery of the core HR strategy to a high standard and on time including: talent management & succession planning, employee engagement, salary and bonus review and driving high performance Delivering commercial people solutions, relating to, performance management, supporting on managing absence, grievances and sickness concerns and change management strategies to promote positive employee relations. Supporting all activity focused on delivering a fit for purpose organisation for the future, including organisation design activity, resourcing strategy and management of headcount & expense ratio Interpreting HR analytics and provide and implement recommendations for solutions Coaching, mentoring and challenging line managers around great leadership to embed a culture of team effectiveness and promote the Hiscox vision and values Working alongside talent acquisition, supporting line managers to recruit the best Our must haves: Proven ability of providing commercial people solutions which drive the performance of your business area, ideally in a matrix environment Experience of influencing at a senior level of the organisation Proven ability of using data & insight to inform decision-making Extensive experience managing all aspects of employee relations Confidence and courage to challenge the status quo and think creatively with business leaders Curiosity by the bucketful as you seek to understand the business and our people Diversity and flexible working at Hiscox At Hiscox we care about our people.
