Group Category Manager

The Opportunity An opportunity has arisen for a procurement professional to join the Electronic & Electrical procurement and Supply Chain team. Working in an international context, the successful candidate will bring their experience and knowledge to ensure effective category management in the Electronic and Electrical domain. The team works across the MBDA group in a changing environment, managing and implementing both mature and new technologies. What are we looking for? Ideally a degree calibre procurement professional with experience of working in an international environment in High technologies companies. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated their ability to develop and implement category strategy in a culturally sensitivity environment supported by excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. A proven ability to: influence multi-functionally, multi-nationally and at all levels within the organisation implement changes when working with internal stakeholders develop and implement strategies through a multi-function team Good understanding of electronic and electrical technologies and of the Suppliers market What’s in it for you? The Role To manage an international, multifunctional team in the sourcing and management of suppliers for a category within the Electronic and Electrical Domain, undertaking strategy development, competitions, contract management, Supplier relation management with the purpose of supporting innovation and to ensure supply chain performance (on Time, on Cost, on Quality) Working as a business partner with your internal stakeholders to improve business outcomes Managing Suppliers market risks and opportunities.to support the MBDA technology roadmap and production plan, Creating and implementing supplier relationships to deliver innovative and best in class suppliers to the business Intelligently developing and deploying a range of sourcing strategies in cooperation with internal stakeholders.
