Pearson’s Internal Audit team is looking for an Internal Audit Manager to join the team, based in Belfast, covering Pearson’s businesses in Europe, Asia the Middle East and Africa. The Internal Audit Manager’s role is to lead both operational and financial focussed internal audits, ensuring audits are successfully planned and executed. The Audit Manager takes the lead in communicating audit results to senior management and is key to the Internal Audit team building sound relationships with stakeholders across the business. Reporting to the London-based Director, Internal Audit, the Audit Manager will both support junior members of the team in their development and be involved in team planning and reporting activities as needed to support senior management. Pearson’s internal audit team is collaborative and forward-looking. This role offers a good opportunity for someone who would relish being part of a supportive team, developing relationships with Senior Management and is able to recognise and champion opportunities for us to improve the way we audit and work with the business. Main activities/responsibilities: Designing an audit approach, leading, planning and completing the work to agreed timelines and to budget. Communicating audit findings to management both verbally and through formal reporting; Building solid relationships with stakeholders in the business; Working collaboratively with colleagues in our global internal audit teams in London and Hoboken; Supporting and coaching more junior members of the team; Being aware of developments in audit techniques and adapting these to support their adoption at Pearson.
