Finance Manager required Outskirts of Cardiff Salary of £35,000 - £40,000 per annum on offer Reporting into the MD of a growing SME, my client is seeking a hands-on Finance Manager to join its team, and manage the day to day function of the finance team. The main purpose of the role is to ensure the day to day operations of the Finance function run smoothly, aligning activities to the objectives of the SMT. Duties: Achieve the Finance team’s objectives in line with the companywide vision Review monthly management accounts and present to the board at monthly board meetings providing commentary and recommendation as well as the review process. Work with SMT to monitor and report on divisional performance to budget at monthly business reviews Production of weekly cash flow forecasts Manage, develop and lead the Finance team Deal with external auditors Keep up to date with accounting legislation and technology and adapt accordingly to suit the needs of the business Skills and experience: Strong technical accounting knowledge Fully Qualified Accountant (ACCA,CIMA,ACA) Experience in preparing budgets within a multi-disciplined conglomerate SME business Ability to plan and manage the workload of the team Keen eye for detail Strong Excel skills and the ability to model opportunities Process driven Knowledge and demonstrable experience of utilising Sage 200 is essential The ideal candidate: Previous experience and success within a finance manager role is essential Excellent team player Very organised able to work to tight deadlines with strong attention to detail Can do attitude Excellent time management Commercially aware and motivated by success Must be proactive and flexible to support the growth of the company Enjoy working in a fast paced environment and possess the ability to prioritise and juggle several tasks at any one time Must be self-motivated and have the ability for continuous learning and be used to working to strict deadlines Able to work unsupervised and to successfully complete tasks within tight deadlines Hours of work - Monday - Friday: 8:30am to 5:00pm
