About the Role: Do you thrive on making a difference? Does the sound of analysing data to maximise sales and profit excite you? Then this is a unique opportunity like no other. Mamas & Papas not only has an incredible portfolio of stores around the UK and Ireland but we also sell our beautiful ranges to hundreds of other UK retailers from small independent nursery stores to the likes of NEXT and Argos. But the key to this role is making sure we have the right products in the right place at the right time…but also at the right price. As you can imagine our Merchandise department is certainly kept busy, which is why we are looking to bring in an Assistant Merchandiser within our Clothing team. Someone that enjoys being analytical, can collaborate and communicate at all levels, both internal and external, someone who can plan ahead, review sales performance successfully and create forecasts in line with trends. Seen a recent promotion of ours? That will be our Merchandising team…they are the brains behind recommending our pricing on our product ranges, and it will be up to the Assistant Merchandiser to be responsible for not only forecasting for the Clothing team, but also managing store stock. About the Person: We are looking for an ambitious, analytical, courageous individual, who is eager to develop their skills in Merchandising. Working collaboratively is what we are all about here at Mamas & Papas, with this role being no exception – the Assistant Merchandiser will work with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure KPI’s for sales & profit are met, so organisation is key and someone who can be strategic with their recommendations. An understanding of clothing within the retail industry and merchandising is certainly key for this role, with knowledge of wholesale trading being advantageous, but what’s key is adaptability, attention to detail and not being afraid to try new things About the Brand: Becoming a parent is a big step, and big steps need good companions.
