Overview
Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain are currently working with a successful international retailer engaged in the manufacture, distribution and sale of household products. We are looking for a results-driven Category Buyer with strong commercial acumen. As a key role within the department, working alongside a highly skilled team of Buyers, you will have responsibility for delivering targeted P&L benefits and develop category strategy. You will support supply base development, with the scope to achieve significant results and develop best practice in order to consistently deliver business excellence. We are looking for a dynamic, forward thinking professional who demonstrates the ability to consistently identify improvements and drive results. You will be a strong negotiator, with an outgoing personality in order to build supplier relationships. It is critical to have good numerical skills in this role, as you will be expected manage your own spend and measure targeted savings against project values. Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain would be keen to speak with candidates with the following skills and experiences: -Ideally CIPS qualified or Degree educated -Minimum 3 years' experience in Category Buying -Experience of ERP and Excel -Excellent supplier management skills -Ability to demonstrate experience of contract negotiation and strategic sourcing Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain is a specialist division of Elevation Recruitment Group focusing on purchasing, sourcing, and full supply chain control and management positions in Yorkshire and surrounding regions.
