Overview

We are proud to be working with a market leading, global manufacturing company based in South East Kent. Due to continued performance over the years and the prospect of future growth and investment our client are seeking to bolster their team with the recruitment on a Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias. The purpose of the role will be to support the Facilities and Maintenance Manager by ensuring the daily maintenance required for the efficient running of the site equipment and facility is undertaken proficiently and to defined targets. This will include reading and understanding electrical and mechanical drawings in order to carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) on plant equipment, systems and facilities/buildings. Having worked within a manufacturing / process environment previously you will be able to demonstrate experience of installing, testing , investigating and fault diagnosis on plant equipment and mechanical/electrical systems. Further to this you be able to use logical thinking to trouble shoot and repair the root cause of the problems in order to minimise any of the fault. To be successful you will need to have a minimum of a BTEC or apprenticeship level qualification, 18th Edition accreditation and ideally a safety qualification.
