The Opportunity: We are currently looking for a Claims Technician to join our high performing team based out of our Chelmsford office. The role will require you to provide efficient and effective support to the Claims Adjusters and Offshore Operations, ensuring that adequate data is validated and entered to satisfy senior management, compliance, FCA and internal audit guidelines. Your responsibilities for this role may include, but are not limited to: Provide superb customer service combined with Claims excellence to meet customer needs and ensure customer retention. Resolve customer service issues ensuring their prompt and timely resolution to meet our service standards Effectively and efficiently process USM’s within agreed SLA’s. Review and validation of a variety of bordereau - experience of working with formulas and MS Excel formatting would be ideal. Event Code and Trust Fund Code maintenance and support of FIL codes for Adjusters. General query and technical claims support for Offshore Operations team and internal Claims Handlers. Processing and investigation of Lloyds SCM’s (Syndicate Claims Messages) within agreed SLA’s. Opportunity for participation and support of projects You will need to be able to display you have the following knowledge, skills and experience: A key aspect of the role is the validation of bordereau across varying Lines of Business. Therefore, an analytical individual with experience in validation or processing is preferred. A good eye for detail is key, as well as a keen desire to learn about insurance claims. Ability to manage and achieve required deadlines and manage stakeholder engagement accordingly Strong organisational skills, to work effectively under pressure adhering to deadlines. Utilise effective written and oral communication skills to share information. Experience of administration and/or processing within a claims environment is desirable, as is good working knowledge of insurance claims systems and general claims principles and procedures. Experience of working with formulas and formatting within MS Excel A basic understanding of Outsourced claims handling arrangements would be advantageous, as well as quality assurance. Methodical, with good analytical and problem solving skills. Highly accurate with a good eye for detail. Able to negotiate, persuade and influence at all levels across QBE EO Appropriately prioritise tasks to ensure timely goal achievement. Ability to work on own initiative.
