Leading accountancy practice seek a Bookkeeper - Manchester - Modern & friendly working environment Your new firm A top 20 accountancy firm based in central Manchester are seeking an experienced bookkeeper to join their friendly and vibrant team. This is a great opportunity for an individual to continue their career in practice and take ownership of bookkeeping duties for a broad range of clients. The firm have over 20 offices across the UK and boast a supportive and stable working environment. Your new role As a Bookkeeper, you will be required to work with a range of clients including limited companies, sole traders and partnerships. The role will see you undertake bank reconciliations, prepare and submit VAT returns as well as maintain the sales and purchase ledgers for the client whilst bringing the accounts to trial balance. You will be required to liaise with the clients on a daily basis via email and telephone and occasionally face to face in order to ensure all necessary documentation is provided. What you'll need to succeed The partners are seeking an individual that has bookkeeping experience in an accountancy practice setting. As you will be joining a friendly team and supporting the rest of the team with high volumes of work you will need to possess a strong work ethic and interpersonal skills. You must be able to prioritise your workload and be able to work to deadlines and targets.
