Leading accountancy practice - Manchester - Bookkeeper - Up to £22,000 (DOE) study Your new firm A well-established successful firm of chartered accountants are seeking an individual to join their busy accounts and bookkeeping department in the heart of Manchester. This firm offer a broad range of accounting services to their client base and with ambitious plans for growth this would be an excellent role to bolster your career in practice. Your new role In this Manchester based bookkeeping job you will be required to work closely with the firm's varied client base including limited companies, sole trader, partnerships and charities. The role will see you undertake bank reconciliations, prepare and submit VAT returns, prepare management accounts and maintain the sales and purchase ledgers for the client whilst bringing the accounts to trial balance. You will be required to liaise with the clients on a daily basis via email and telephone and occasionally face to face in order to ensure all necessary documentation is provided. What you'll need to succeed In order to succeed in this Manchester based bookkeeper role you will need to have worked in an accountancy practice setting previously or dealt with multiple clients. You will need to be able to work to strict deadlines, be self-motivated and have a good attention to detail. On top of this you should have good Microsoft excel skills, be personable, passionate and be able to work individually or as part of a team. The firm use cloud accounting software so any exposure with cloud software would be beneficial, however training will be provided.
