Overview
At Affinity Water we are pursuing an ambitious business transformation programme to enable the delivery of our company vision and achieve our purpose. The department divides into five main functions providing performance and engineering solutions and zone planning primarily through hydraulic modelling and analysis, leakage and demand analytics, geographical information systems, data and data governance. As Head of Infrastructure Strategy, Data and Analytics, you will be reporting into the Director of Asset Strategy & Capital Delivery. You will lead a team of approximately 40 engineers, analysts and technicians with the overall responsibility for ensuring that the infrastructure assets (strategic and distribution supply network and apparatus) meet the service levels required of them. Our service levels are met by ensuring that we use accurate and timely data on the condition, performance and future needs of the assets and are fit for purpose analytics for short, medium and longer term assessment and planning. Our main service level expectation is to meet our leakage targets, ensuring that customers have the right water supply at the right pressure, ensuring resilience to network failure and meeting the supply demand balance. Your role encompasses the management and technical direction of the department and reports into the Executive Management Team on key business issues. Your role also requires a wider view of the water industry to be taken to ensure that we have an understanding of new and emerging practises and innovations in the area of assets management and water supply.
