Overview
Retail Technical Manager Food Safety This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Technical Manager to join a leading and ever expanding retailer within the Technical / Food Safety function. You will create, develop and deliver food safety and technical policies, process and systems to ensure compliance to legislative, company and customer requirements, working across a varied food business. The role will include: Define technical / food safety strategy Working with the buying team to manage a broad range of food categories Lead a Team that will: Conduct technical / quality assessments of products Compile product evaluations / sampling and provide feedback Managing and maintaining the Technical information for various product lines Develop & maintain relationships with supplier testing teams Compile technical reports Ensuring quality standards are adhered to Key requirement for the role; Experience of fast paced retail food environment In-depth knowledge of food safety regulation Ability to manage various projects / deadlines simultaneously Detailed knowledge of certification standards eg BRC / IFS / FSSC22000. Desirable to be internal auditor and lead auditor trained.
