Overview

Interim Project Manager Pay Rate: Up to £480 per day pay range, subject to IR35 status A DV cleared Project Manager is required at MOD Corsham. Deployed Platform Services (DPS), Interoperability Services and Gateways (ISG) delivers Pegasus 5 Eyes and High Threat gateways that allows UK MOD users to exchange information with a series of government and international partners, whilst at the same time protecting and defending the MOD Secret network, the SLI. The in-scope work for the Project Delivery Managers includes support to: Pegasus Project planning, scope, and initiation Representing the MOD within the international Pegasus project team; Delivering the agreed outputs and reporting on progress Managing change, both programmatic and technical and producing impact assessments to ensure ISGs position is captured You will be responsible for delivery of projects that conform to the policy, governance and guidance issued from the ISS Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO). This will include: Developing and managing teams, identifying, addressing and resolving differences between individuals and/or interest groups. Empowering and inspiring others to deliver successful projects. Development and the production of investment appraisals, obtaining financial approval and agreeing budget, controlling forecast and actual costs against them. Agreeing contracts for the provision of goods/services needed for projects monitoring compliance and managing variances. Managing the monitoring and controlling financial aspects of each project or contract. Managing the preparation and delivery of technical briefs, status reports, chairing meetings and taking minutes/notes. Managing the management of a diverse range of stakeholders, taking account of their levels of influence and interests Management of available resources and knowledge to ensure a professional, expert and consistent approach is maintained. Appropriate use of project resources including engagement of commercial, technical and financial subject matter experts in order to make effective and timely decisions. Preparing and maintaining schedules of activities and events, taking account of dependencies and resource requirements. Identifying and monitoring project risks (threats and opportunities) planning and implementing responses to them and responding to other issues that affect products Managing on the consolidation and documenting of the fundamental components of projects (scope, schedule, resource requirements, budgets, risks, opportunities, issues and quality requirements) Preparing, gaining approval of, refining and updating business cases that justify projects in terms of benefits, costs and risks. Identifying, defining, evaluating, planning, tracking and realising the business benefits of programmes/projects. Establishing and maintaining governance arrangements for the delivery of projects, defining clear roles, responsibilities and accountabilities that align with organisation practice Essential: APMFQ Desirable: APMPQ Working knowledge of: MOD Acquisition Lifecycles (CADMID/CADMIT) MOD Approval and Scrutiny Process (AOF) Cabinet Office and Treasury Approvals Experience and knowledge of Corporate Tools: Enterprise Project Management (EPM) The Defence Risk Tool, Active Risk Management (ARM) Evidence of background, knowledge, and experience of delivering projects using the project management approaches, tools and techniques that are described in the Association of Project Management (APM) Body of Knowledge 7th Edition; Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; Proven ability to define, source, tailor, and analyse high quality management information; Able to demonstrate the professional credibility required to work collaboratively across project and organisational boundaries; Contract Length: 220 working days “Essential Requirements” – Please check to ensure that your CV addresses the following items: Our clients are generally seeking applicants who are reasonably local, so on that basis we would ideally like you to supply us with your address (or at least your post code) and a telephone number so that we can reach you during working hours.
