Homicide Service Case Worker - Charity - Pan London Contact for this role at Tempest Resourcing is: John Clegg We have been commissioned by a charity to recruit caseworkers to join their new Homicide Service . Our client will preferably consider candidates with previous or transferable experience in this area. Purpose of the job Provide a high-quality, front-line service to young people who have been bereaved following Murder, Manslaughter or have witnessed a homicide Act as the designated caseworker and manage a case-load Work collaboratively and jointly with the Homicide Service and other relevant organisations that can help to progress identified needs, and ensure that young people are central to all processes that concern them Implement Victim Support standards, procedures and Service Delivery Model for providing a homicide service Knowledge and Experience Experience of working with bereaved young people, victims/witnesses of violent crime or other highly vulnerable people Knowledge of the impact of bereavement through homicide or the psychological impact of significant trauma resulting from a distressing event Proven track record of successfully delivering services for young people and successful youth engagement in a comparable role within a service-driven organisation of comparable size, scope and complexity Knowledge of safeguarding issues relating to children and young people A proven track record of meeting challenging outcomes in a performance driven environment Experience and knowledge of voluntary and statutory agencies, particularly in the criminal justice, health and social care sector An understanding of the current issues for children and young people experiencing serious youth violence, drug trafficking, peer pressure, gang culture, domestic abuse and relationship abuse Qualifications English, Maths Youth / Community work, Social Work (Desirable) Please contact John Clegg for more information.
