Overview
Your new company We are currently working on behalf of a large Public-Sector organisation based in Belfast to recruit a Diesel Fitter, on a temporary contract basis for an initial period of 6 months with the possibility for further extension. Your new role Reporting to the Depot Engineer you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing all mechanical aspects of a vehicle, carrying out vehicle inspections and associated administrative duties. You will be responsible for vehicle defect diagnosis and repair, preparation for P.V.C presentation and responding to vehicle breakdown. What you'll need to succeed You will have a minimum of two years post apprenticeship experience working on commercial vehicles, and a recognised Vehicle Mechanic Apprenticeship with a minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant trade or discipline. You will also be required to have a full current driving licence, flexible attitude to work and the ability to work with others and with minimal supervision. You will receive a competitive hourly rate, which will be paid via BACS transfer on a weekly basis. Based in a convenient location in Belfast, there will be free on-site parking available.
