Depot Manager North Birmingham £40,000 Benefits Are you an experienced Depot Manager looking for a fresh new challenge? Are you excited about the aspect of launching a brand new site in North Birmingham? If so we have an exciting opportunity to join a leader in their field Due to continued growth this FMCG company is now recruiting for their brand new depot in North Birmingham. The Depot Manager will be responsible for managing a team and supporting the services for retailers and suppliers. The Depot Manager will be involved in establishing and managing the operation, fully supported by the UK Logistics Manager. Reporting to the UK Operational Manager your duties will include but not limited to - " Ensuring the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, by supervising, organising, directing and training warehouse operatives and team leaders whilst monitoring and managing operational KPI's " Develop warehouse operational systems by determining handling, washing, storage requirements and equipment utilisation processes to ensure customer satisfaction " Oversee daily operations whilst controlling and managing inventory and inbound transport movements " Review and prepare workflows, staffing and space requirements to optimise productivity, quality and customer service standards " Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following and enforcing standards and procedures whilst complying with legal regulations " Inspecting equipment, tools and machinery on a regular basis and overseeing scheduled and emergency maintenance as required The site will run on a 24/7 basis so flexibility will be required due to the nature of the role however the key core hours on this role will be 8:30 - 5:00pm once the operation is fully operational with all key staff. The Depot Manager must have experience in warehousing/production management coupled with strong FMCG experience. Attractive salary on offer of up to £40,000 benefits. Interested?
