Overview

DevOps Engineer (Python Windows Linux Infrastructure CI/CD). Global investment management firm is seeking a skilled, process-driven DevOps Engineer to join their accomplished team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a firm that produces internationally-recognised investment-analysis research and gain valuable knowledge of financial systems. Day to day you'll make an impact by supporting the organisation's operation; leading a shift of DevOps Engineers through pro-active monitoring, incident management and issue investigation and resolution. You'll drive the Change and Release management processes to ensure continuous high availability, implementing CI/CD pipelines to facilitate critical deployments at scale. As a DevOps Engineer you'll work on diverse projects using contemporary and emerging technologies; migration to the Cloud (AWS) and the creation of monitoring and alert systems using Splunk and Truesight. The firm has an inspired culture of continuous improvement and as a DevOps Engineer you will be required to look through this lens, identifying where automation, tooling or process changes will add value across your team, promoting an 'automating' mindset to optimise efficiency of the DevOps roadmap. You'll have the opportunity to mentor junior members of your team and take complete ownership of particular projects. Essentially, you are the glue that holds a business together. The traction provided by your adaptability will ensure the seamless technical operation of a global firm. Requirements: You have strong DevOps engineering experience You have demonstrable Windows and / or Linux OS experience You have notable scripting experience with Python (also consider PowerShell or Java coding) You have experience with process automation, CI/CD, Jenkins or Chef You're familiar with open source monitoring tools such as Splunk and Truesight You're a positive team player, keen to work collaboratively, share ideas and mentor junior team members Desirable: experience with finance systems or other highly transactional systems As a DevOps Engineer you will earn a highly competitive salary (to £60k) plus bonus and a comprehensive benefits package including generous holiday allowance, private medical insurance, dental plan, subsidised gym membership, season ticket loan and more.
