Embedded Software Engineer £40,000 - £55,000 Bristol Permanent Cubiq Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Embedded Software Engineer to join a leading manufacturing business based in Bristol. The company in question are have global distribution of their highly-specialised and specific product range, and are looking to expand their engineering department as a result of ever increasing demand being placed on their R&D team. Key responsibilities for this role will include full lifecycle development of embedded software encompassing design, development, test and implementation of software for real-time operating systems In addition to a formal qualification within electronics engineering, computer science, or a similar discipline, applicants should be able to demonstrate experience in the following area: Extensive knowledge of Embedded C for a range of microcontrollers (ARM, Atmel, PIC, etc) Previous project work and engagement of all stages of the development lifecycle process Familiarity with real-time operating systems An appreciation of hardware schematics and design principles Embedded Linux experience would beneficial In light of recent events, our client is happy to initially engage in telephone/Skype conversations so as to adhere to the recommended social distancing practices which the country is currently engaged in.
