Overview
EUC Security Specialist 3 month contract Birmingham with travel (home based while social distancing restrictions are in place) The interview process will be conducted remotely. You will be an integral part of a specialist technical team, personally responsible for delivering key elements of a managed support service for a high profile client. The role will provide an opportunity to build on your strong technical background and to obtain practical experience of innovative IT solutions and services. Technical Requirements :- · Vulnerability Management · Threat Management · Patch Management – Deployment and Reporting · IPS/IDS · Email security · Web Proxy · Device encryption · Pen Test reviewing · SIEM Logs · Security reporting – Anti-virus, MS patching, etc. · Experience of using the following technology is desirable:- o Qualys o Forcepoint o Lumension o Symantec Anti-Virus o MS Azure o Office 365 threat management Responsibilities Including but not limited to:- · To get acquainted with the general structure of the Company and understand the way the business functions. · Analyse IT specifications to assess security risks · Design and implement safety measures and data recovery plans · Secure networks through firewalls, password protection and other systems · Inspect hardware for vulnerable points of access · Monitor network activity to identify issues early and communicate them to IT teams · Act on privacy breaches and malware threats · Serve as a security expert and conduct training for internal teams when needed · Draft policies and guidelines Experience/Skills Required · Motivated and self-reliant · Effective trouble shooter · Effective communicator at all business levels · Good customer relationship skills · Ability to work tidily with minimum disruption to clients and staff · Flexible approach to work with the ability to adapt to changing situations Additional Skills · Excellent customer service skills are essential. · Ability to work under pressure. · Willing to work away from the base office for extended periods. · Ability to work efficiently without supervision. · Smart business-like appearance. · Willing to work outside of normal office hours when required. · Willing to work away from home for periods of up to 1-week.
