Overview
Cloud Security Specialist - Reading - Remote working available - Up to £85,000 benefits My client is looking to hire a Cloud security specialist on a permanent basis. Due to current circumstances this will start as a fully remote role and then will transition to 2 days a week on site once everything is settled down. They need someone to be responsible for designing and securing their cloud estate and assess the effectiveness of security and risk management controls to detect security issues, events and incidents. Working as a security specialist embedded in their DevOps team you will be expected to provide in depth and practical Cloud security expertise to the rest of the DevOps and Information Security teams. They includes the creation of secure cloud design, configuration and operations standards, policies and procedures. Core responsibilities: - Design secure cloud infrastructures and delivery systems with objectives like speed, scalability, robustness, zero-trust, automation and supportability at the core. - Ensure their Cloud estate (Azure, AWS, SalesForce, etc) is configured securely according to industry standards - Provide expert Cloud security advice to DevOps and Software Engineering teams - Monitor the Cloud estate, react to, investigate and respond to all real or perceived information security and cyber related events, issues, incidents, threat and attacks. - Determine the severity of alerts and security vulnerabilities, assess potential impacts, recommend next steps, follow through with risk treatment and mitigation. - Act as the first Point of Contact for all Cloud security events, anomalies, incidents and investigations Required skills/experience: - Advanced understanding and demonstrable hands on experience with Cloud environments, systems and tools and with fundamental Internet and security technologies in an enterprise or service provider environment. - Good experience securing and monitoring Cloud environments - Advanced ability to read and understand code, understand logs and alerts, to use specialist tools as well as programming / scripting languages to automate tasks, to enable security at speed and scale. - Good understanding of common information security management standards, frameworks - Experience of open source security tools and how they could be used in an enterprise. - Experience creating and implementing secure Cloud design, configuration, deployment and operation templates, procedures, policies and standards If this role is of interest please APPLY or drop me a message on Cloud Security Specialist - Reading - Remote working available - Up to £85,000 benefits This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89932773
