Overview

You will join us as an Outpatient Nurse, you will work with the Clinicians, Allied Healthcare Professionals, Radiographers and administrators to ensure a smooth patient journey and optimum delivery of our service lines. Outpatient Nurse Responsibilities: - Liaise effectively with all stakeholders in the care process, including carers and relatives, aspiring to provide an effective, seamless and integrated service to our patients. - Follow consistently high standards of infection control practice especially with reference to hand hygiene and aseptic techniques. - Undertake ECG’s, Phlebotomy, Wound Care / suture removal, Lung function and to assist in Minor surgical procedures. - Remove intravenous cannulae following certain procedures, e.g. post contrast CT scans. - Understand MRI as an imaging modality at the appropriate level to pass information onto patients. - Liaise closely with Medical, Nursing, Finance and Radiology staff as required. - Report to the Director of Service Lines all untoward incidents that occur to patients, staff or visitors within the Department. Outpatient Nurse Requirements: - Evidence of competency in Phlebotomy, Baseline observations, ECG, Wound Care / Suture removal, assisting with Minor surgical procedures, BLS and Lung function. - Qualified Nurse. - Working in a similar healthcare environment (NHS / Private Sector). - The ability to communicate and work cooperatively across organizational / external business boundaries. - IT literate. Desirable Skills / Experiences: - An interest in technology and process improvement. - Management experience. - Experience in cardiology, orthopaedics and ENT. - Mentorship / Leadership course.
