Overview
We are looking for a Residential Children's Support Worker to join a lovely provider based in Bournemouth. This is an excellent opportunity for a Residential Children's Support Worker to make a real difference to children's lives. The position is paying upto £25k DOE, excellent training, generous holiday entitlement, sickness bonus, birthday gifts and many more This is a role at a home that looks after children with complex needs who need attention from staff that love to make a positive difference to their lives. The role will involve antisocial hours so you will need to be flexible. The home supports six young people all of whom have previously experienced trauma or been exposed to harm. The successful Residential Children's Support Worker will have the following experience: Minimum of 6-12 months care experience with children or young adults You will have an outgoing and friendly personality and be flexible in your working approach Willing to commit to working towards and achieving NVQ level 3 Experience of communicating with children or young adults Good IT skills - ability to organise workload and time The successful Residential Support Worker will have the following responsibilities: Review and implement care plans Develop and maintain appropriate working relationships with families Work collaboratively with other professionals to meet the needs of young people Attend and participate in supervision and staff meetings Be an allocated Key-Worker for specific young person In return you will be offered a competitive hourly rate, excellent training and the opportunity to make a real difference to a young person's life.
