Preschool Room Leader – BIRD IN BUSH Despite the challenges of the coronavirus (Covid-19) crisis we are still recruiting for staff in our nurseries. About the job: • Number of Rooms: • 1 Baby Room, 1 Toddler Room, 1 Preschool • Total capacity of Nursery: 55 place Nursery • Opening Times: 7.30AM -6.30PM Our Bird in Bush Nursery joined the LEYF family in May 2014. Located along Old Kent Road, in the heat of the local community in Peckham. The Old Kent Road will be under regeneration in the next few years to develop the Baker Loo line the station will be a stone’s throw from the nursery. our Bird in Bush nursery is easily accessible by local bus routes. The setting has an Over 2s garden comprises of a tool station, planting area, mud kitchen and enclosed climbing frame, tunnel, balancing beams. As a room leader, you must be creative in your teaching and enthusiastic in encouraging the team to reach their full potential. About you: Full and relevant child care qualification at level 3 or above. Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection To distribute staff and resources effectively, maintaining ratios whilst supporting other rooms. To champion LEYF’s values and advocate our mission to save the world one child at a time. To continually strive for best practice in yourself and inspiring others.
