Overview
Financial services client requires an experienced App Sec/ DevSecOps engineer for a technical hands-on role, with a level of expertise in SAST - CheckMarx/IBM AppScan . Work with development teams to understand how they do things and build solutions that fit with their processes. Support and train developers and testers to add security focused tests and tooling to CICD pipelines and local development environments. Identify generic test cases that are appropriate to multiple kinds of applications and contexts, and automate them. Be comfortable working with multiple programming languages, building tools that integrate with projects written in different languages in an idiomatic manner. Capable of working with common CICD technologies , particularly Docker and Jenkins . Experience of working with technologies such as GitHub (GIT), ELK, Prometheus, Grafana etc. Knowledge of common development practices and tools Liaise with multiple stakeholders and effectively communicate and champion your work. Bridge the gap between software engineering and information security in a scalable way. Familiarity with AppSec tooling ( SAST , DAST, RASP, IAST), such as Checkmarx and other SAST technologies (appscan, contrast, NowSecure) Experience of working on Linux & Windows O/S Familiarity with Cloud Platforms particularly AWS and GCP Call the role an "application security engineer" Myles Roberts is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
