Laboratory Manager £30,000 - £35,000 per year plus 5% bonus and benefits Working hours - 8am - 4pm The Company My client is a successful global company that provides a variety of on-site Laboratory Services to major pharmaceutical companies. The Opportunity Due to continued growth, my client is now looking for two Laboratory Managers to join their pharmaceutical site based at Granta Park. This is a fantastic opportunity within the Antibody Discovery and Protein Engineering, Biology or Biopharmaceutical Development team. This opportunity is suitable for someone who has multiple years of experience in managing a busy lab environment. Reporting into the Senior Laboratory Manager, you will support the day to day operations of the laboratories and operations. You will be the first point of contact for research staff and visitors. The Lab Manager duties include: Operational laboratory management Acting as the single point of contact for lab scientists and visitors Liaising/working with suppliers and stakeholders regarding processes/policies and plans Assisting with booking, hosting and visits from internal/external partners Assisting in development of SOP’s for various assays particularly focused on reagents/consumables and cost saving recommendations Maintaining/organising lab consumable inventories and reports Performing lab inductions for new staff and contractors About You To apply for this role, you should demonstrate: Multiple years of experience in a lab management position Line management experience Excellent customer service focus and the ability to work collaboratively Outstanding communication skills on all levels and problem-solving capabilities Exceptional problem-solving capabilities and confidence.
