Senior Quantity Surveyor - Reputable Main Contractor - Essex Company Overview: My client are a reputable medium size main contractor with a turnover of circa. £180m based in Essex. The majority of the projects undertaken consist of residential & commercial new build developments and refurbishment/maintenance schemes in conjunction with local authorities and housing associations. Projects are based throughout London & surrounding Home Counties, working on contract values in excess of £500k - £10m. Senior Quantity Surveyor Overview: My client are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team based out of the head office in Essex. The projects will consist of working upon local authority refurbishment & maintenance frameworks, covering decent homes and planned maintenance works. The responsibilities of the role include: Responsible for all the commercial aspects of projects from appraisal and validation of subcontractor applications Cost Valuation Reporting Submission & Negotiations of Final Accounts Substantial experience in managing and surveying in the construction industry Undertake site visits in preparation of all tenders Prepare tenders based on estimating procedures A Senior Quantity Surveyor with a background working upon decent homes/planned maintenance frameworks, will be preferred. Previous experience overseeing a team of assistant to intermediate level surveyors will be looked upon favourably. The salary on offer is in excess of £70k - £75k package, including: travel, phone, laptop, private medical cover and pension schemes.
