Overview

Senior HR Advisor - part time Working hours - 18hrs to 24hrs per week (days/times to be agreed) Stephen James BMW Group is looking for a part time Senior HR Advisor to join our busy People Team based at our Enfield Centre. This is an exciting, fast paced role that would involve interacting with employees and managers and putting your HR experience to use in various projects. What you will be doing: As the Senior HR Advisor, you will be responsible for supporting the Group HR Manager with creating, revising and implementing HR processes, policies and practices, ensuring that these are professional and compliant with new legislation. This will include undertaking projects independently and as part of a team, providing training to managers where appropriate. You will also provide general administration and support to the department regarding employee relations. Responsibilities: To work in partnership with managers on performance management, employee relations, resourcing, redundancy and management development matters To support grievance, disciplinary and capability investigations and hearings, writing letters and summary notes as necessary To identify opportunities for improving processes and services to employees, and to create consistency, to include: revision of job descriptions, handbook, policies, procedures, intranet, all paperwork etc To lead and support activities within key projects to achieve strategic goals To provide assistance to line managers in completing 121s to improve their effectiveness and tackle low performance with goals and follow up To deliver training to line managers as requested, preparing the material and organising the events, working closely with senior managers to ensure take up and follow up Your Experience/Skill You must have excellent verbal and written communication skills you will be highly organised, detail orientated and accurate You must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment recognising individual responsibility to contribute to the performance and success of the team. You need to be an enthusiastic problem solver with a ‘can do’ attitude and ability to make decisions and demonstrate initiative You will be able to implement and inform on policies and procedures You will have the ability to learn and develop, and keep up-to-date with legislation and its implementation You will be able to independently manage projects, prioritise tasks, be good with administration, diary management and follow up within agreed time-frames Preferable you will have a CIPD level 5 Qualification or a HR Degree You will have excellent IT skills including the ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Office 365 to a proficient level You will have at least 5 years’ experience of working in a busy Human Resources Department in an advisory capacity You will have a valid UK Driving Licence Who we are: Stephen James Group is an established authorised BMW and MINI franchise with dealerships in North and South East London and Kent.
