SENIOR DATA SCIENTIST £80,000 - 85,000 BENEFITS CENTRAL LONDON Are you interested in being at the forefront of the data science space and working for one of the most recognised brands in the UK? THE COMPANY: As a Senior Data Scientist, your focus will be on customer analytics and marketing to greatly improve the service provided to millions of people worldwide. The company is currently expanding its data and analytics and tech team to make significant improvements to how they use their data. The team of Data Scientists will be made up of innovative, fast-learning, interested and driven individuals - who will work on large amounts of data to solve pressing issues and improve overall customer experience and satisfaction. THE ROLE: The role of Senior Data Scientist will require you to work with large volumes on various projects, with a team of highly skilled data scientists. In specific, you can expect to be involved in the following: You will use advanced analytics and data science to solve problems (including, but not limited to, Linear Algebra, Timeseries Analysis, Natural Language Processing, Artificial Neural Networks, Decision Trees) You will provide solutions to real business problems that benefit customers and provide a more personalised experience You will understand customer profiling (clustering, segmentation) and using text analytics, natural language processing and sentiment analysis to discern customer interaction with the company You will communicate complicated concepts, with the aid of data visualisation and storytelling, to less technically minded colleagues YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: The successful Senior Data Scientist will have the following skills and experience: Educated to Master's level in a STEM degree focused in quantitative methods and statistics (Maths, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, Economics and related fields) Proficiency in programming languages, statistical analysis tools and different data storage systems - e.g. Python, R, PySpark, Hadoop, NoSQL and SQL. Proven commercial experience working on end-to-end processes Must be passionate about Data Science and be a naturally inquisitive, problem solver at heart Natural Language Processing and text analytics experience is desirable THE BENEFITS: The successful Senior Data Scientist will receive a salary, dependent on experience between £80,000 - £85,000.
